Your Guide to Mother's Day Flowers

Your Guide to Mother's Day Flowers

Hi everybody! We're so glad you're here.

This year, Mother's Day is on Sunday, May 10th. We know you'd never forget it😉, but just in case, here's a guide to Mother's Day flowers so you can honor all the women in your life.

Who Should I Buy Flowers For?

Most people just think of getting their mom flowers for Mother's Day, but there are plenty of other women in your life who we're sure would love to be remembered with flowers.

You might consider sending flowers to these women too:

  • Your grandma
  • Your wife/partner
  • A "mother figure" in your life

Really, any women in your life who is a mother, or plays a motherly role in yours (or someone else's life), deserves to be celebrated! 🫶

What Types of Flowers Are Best?

  1. Carnations
One of the more traditional Mother's Day flowers; they are known to represent a mother's love and devotion to her children.
💡 Pro Tip: Carnations tend to last longer than other flowers and are great for a mom who appreciates a longer-lasting arrangement.
  2. Roses
These often symbolize gratitude and admiration, and are a classic choice for someone who likes something more traditional.
  3. Tulips
These flowers bloom just in time for Mother's Day, and are very seasonal. They are often associated with themes of warmth and happiness, which is perfect for Mother's Day.

💡 Pro TIp: ALWAYS check for any flower allergies before ordering. This will make sure that your mom can actually enjoy her arrangement without sneezing the whole time! 🤧

What About Arrangement Types?

Our most popular options are:

  1. A Wrapped Bouquet
  2. Vase Arrangements

Depending on your giftee's preferences and lifestyles, either one could work.

If you're visiting in person and going to hand over the flowers to her yourself, a wrapped bouquet could be the perfect choice.

💡 Pro Tip: Our Grab-and-Go bouquets start at $45 and can be picked up with no pre-order necessary at Loki Coffee and Caputos Market in Holladay. Picking up here can save you the $15 delivery fee!

However, if you're sending flowers from far away, or need something that's ready for display right away, a vase arrangement is usually the best option.

💡 Pro Tip: You can also pick up in Draper at our studio (1935 E Fielding Hill Lane, Draper UT 84020) to skip that delivery fee!

Our Top Recommendations:

  1. The most common mistake we see when people order flowers for Mother's Day is not ordering soon enough.
For the past 3 years, we've actually sold out before Mother's Day, so please, please ( 📣please! 📣), be sure to order early enough to ensure you get the flowers you want.
  2. Do a little research about what your giftee likes.
Does she prefer bright colors or muted? Something grandiose or something more simple? If you can, ask a few (subtle!) questions to make the arrangement even more special for her.

Thanks for joining us today; we hope this was helpful!

Don't forget to order your flowers ahead of time! And, as always, if you have any extra questions or would love to do a custom/special order, reach out to us and we'll see what we can do! 💞

Much love,

The Team at Suncrest Flowers
